Rachelle: Annamaria Bazzi and I have new releases and we're proud to share them with you.
Annamaria: That's right, Rachelle, it’s always exciting when an author publishes a new book.
Rachelle: Absolutely. Thanks for hosting Hidden Under Her Heart on your blog last week. Tell us about your story, A Simple Matter of Justice.
Annamaria: My first publication is a paranormal short story about finding justice after a brutal murder. When writing a novel the author has plenty of time to develop his characters, I had very little time to bring Samantha to full bloom and take the story to an ending that would complete the character’s life. It was a challenge I took on with enthusiasm, and rejoiced when I fulfilled my task.
Rachelle: Wait, who's Samantha? I don't see anyone else in this room.
~Annamaria ducks as the spirit hawk flies overhead~
Samantha: Hey, Annamaria, what are you babbling about now?
Annamria: Come on, Sam, droppings on my sweater. Have you come to drive me crazy? Can’t you see I’m a guest at Rachelle’s Window?
Samantha: My, my, aren’t we testy?
Annamaria: Are you still upset that I turned you into a spirit hawk?
Samantha: No, my dear creator, any one that reads the story will understand I’m actually quite grateful, that is, if they don’t consider the beginning.
Annamaria: Yes, you are still upset.
Samantha: Rachelle, wouldn’t you be upset if someone turned you into a hawk?
Rachelle: Actually I've always wanted to fly. Michal had a dream that she and Ittai were hawks flying toward the sun.
~Samantha screeches and flaps around the chandelier~
Annamaria: Before any more damage is done, I want to thank you for having me on your blog. Come on, Sam, it’s time for us to go.
Brutally murdered, Samantha discovers her life doesn’t end with her death. While in spirit form, she speaks with a wolf, which offers her a chance to bring her killer to trial…but there are strings attached. Even so, she accepts his proposal, and together they hunt the city. However, when the man responsible can’t be located, she worries the wolf’s proposal might be more than a simple matter of justice.
Although born in the United States, Annamaria Bazzi spent a great deal of her childhood in Sicily, Italy, in a town called Sciacca. Italian was the language spoken at home. Therefore, she had no problems when she found herself growing up in a strange country.
Upon returning to the states, she promised herself she would speak without an accent.
She attended Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Computers with a minor in Spanish.
Annamaria spent twenty years programming systems for large corporations, creating innovative solution, and addressing customer problems. During those years, she raised four daughters and one husband. Annamaria lives in Richmond Virginia with her small family where she now dedicates a good part of her day writing.
