#GuestPost #Author Emerald Barnes on Entertaining Angels #inspirational #fiction

I am super thrilled to show you the beautiful cover for my newest and upcoming novel, Entertaining Angels.  Again, my cover artist was Natasha Brown, and she is super talented.  She brought my disjointed vision to life, and I don't think I'll ever be able to thank her properly.
I can't wait to publish it, which I'm hoping will be in May.  That's what I'm estimating anyway.  But, I couldn't wait any longer to show you my beautiful cover!

About Entertaining Angels:
Madison Andrews can’t face her reflection in the mirror.  All she sees is a big, fat nobody.  Yet, deep inside she longs for something more, something that’s not skin deep.

Along comes Zach, the new guy in school.  He’s smoking hot and totally out of her league.  She somehow catches his eye, and he makes her feel beautiful for once.  But just as she gets close to Zach, her nerdy best friend, Chase, won’t let Madison doubt her true beauty, no matter how many meals she skips.

Even as Madison begins to realize that she is more than what she thinks, darker forces are at work, darker than the lies and mocking from her peers, stopping her from amounting to her full potential.  Can Madison find true happiness in her own skin?

Are you a book reviewer?  If so, please sign up for an ARC (Advanced Reading Copy) of my novel here.

A Message from Emerald Barnes:
When you look at yourself in the mirror, what do you see?  Do you see a beautiful person staring back at you, or do you see the faults?  The things you want to change about yourself?  Chances are, if you’re like me, you see what needs to be changed.  Are the wrinkles bothering you?  Dark circles?  Acne?  Untamable hair? Do you need to do something to shrink your pores?  Lose the chubby cheeks and double chin?  What about your body?  Do you think you need some work?  Flabby belly? Stretch marks?  What about your arms?  Do they jiggle when you wave at someone?

Sounds harsh right?  But chances are we’ve had these all or most of these thoughts.  If you haven’t, you’re extremely lucky.  Most women, and some men, have a hard time facing their reflection.  They don’t like what they see, but it’s important that you understand no matter what you may hate about yourself, someone loves it.

The way you look doesn’t define the person you are.  You can be model-perfect, but if your personality isn’t beautiful, you won’t be beautiful.  Beauty is about more than outer appearance.  It’s about believing in yourself, believing that you’re a beautiful person.  You need to exude confidence because you ARE beautiful.

A person is beautiful in God’s sight when they become gentle and kind in spirit.  "...let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious." - 1 Peter 3:4

This is true beauty, your gentle and quiet spirit.  True beauty comes from within.  If you’re kind and gentle and you believe that you’re a beautiful person, then you will be.  Your outward appearance shouldn’t have any bearing on the way you see yourself.

Sure, there is nothing wrong with wanting to be beautiful.  It’s okay to use wrinkle creams and go on a diet.  It’s okay to be healthy, but changing yourself on the outside won’t make you happy.  You have to change from the inside to see a change on the outside.

Today, I hope you realize how beautiful you are.  Look in the mirror and name your best features, and no, it can’t be just your eyes.  Smile and say, “I’m beautiful,” and I pray that you believe it because it’s made a world of difference in my attitude.  I hope it does yours, too.

About Emerald:
Emerald Barnes graduated with a B.A. in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing at Mississippi University for Women.  She resides in a small town in Mississippi and has the accent to prove it.

She mainly writes suspense/thrillers in the YA genre, but she dabbles in other genres and her books are enjoyed by all ages!   She's constantly working on new novels and has more ideas than she knows what to do with.  She blogs which takes up more of her time than she anticipates but loves it so very much!  She's also a volunteer at the World Literary Cafe which is amazing, and she is a crazy grammar nazi who proofreads novels!

She's an auntie to three beautiful nieces and two handsome nephews who take up the other half of her time, but she couldn't imagine spending her time in any other way!

She's a Whovian, a little bit of a nerd, a reader, a writer, and a family-oriented person.  God is number One in her life, and she thanks Him continuously for His love and favor.

#NewRelease BOUND BY TIME by A.D. Trosper #PNR #romance #YA

Bound by Time is a YA paranormal romance by A.D. Trosper, the bestselling author of the epic fantasy series, Dragon's Call.

Once again, I have to thank Blue Harvest Creative for everything they do and for the incredibly beautiful book they have designed. From cover to cover, they outdid themselves.

Can he save her this time or are they bound to be separated for eternity... Bound-by-Time-(For_Web)

Isobel Moore is looking forward to spending her summer break alone while her parents are overseas. Until she returns from college to find her home isn’t quite the welcoming place it used to be. The stained glass window her parents installed is more than just a beautiful piece of history; something sinister is sealed within the colored glass.

When Isobel meets her new neighbor, Damien DeLuca, she discovers the gorgeous and mysterious stranger has plenty of his own secrets. Including the knowledge of what's happening in her home.

As her world spins out of control, she unravels a past that not only tests her limits, but also everything she thought she knew. The darkness within the window yearns to be free and it will do anything to escape—including killing Isobel.

Do You Want to Write a Romance in 30 days? #writing #RomanceInAMonth

Have you ever wondered how some of the top indie authors are pumping out 12-15 books a year? Well, I'd like to invite anyone who wants to try to join me for a FREE online class and writing seminar to stretch yourself and see if you too, can write a book fast and make it shine.

Event: Romance In a Month

Dates: May 15 - June 15, 2014 (writing), but sign up NOW for the exercises and prework

Where: Romance in a Month Facebook Group (join here) - the group is "Open" status for signups, but will go "Secret" once the writing starts. Use #RomanceInAMonth hashtag on Facebook and Twitter to communicate with class members. Online Lessons are available ONLY to Group Members.

Instructor: Me. I wrote and published Taming Romeo in less than a month [read about it here] and I have the process and motivating forces down. You, if you're willing to invest the time, can do it too.

Cost: FREE

Why am I doing this? To challenge myself and everyone interested to believe in their talent and put their heads and hearts together to support and encourage each other to reach a goal. I believe the results can be wonderful.

This weekend, Taming Romeo hit the Amazon Best Seller list in Asian American Literature.

So, despite some of the skeptics who wondered if anything good can be written in a month, I'm heartened that my book is sitting next to Amy Tan's Valley of Amazement. Now, that's a real honor for this Asian American author who grew up reading Amy Tan's Joy Luck Club.

So, join me today. We have a good group already and are doing exercises and getting to know each other. Don't miss out!

Please email me at ayala (dot) rachelle (at) gmail (dot) com or contact me at my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RachelleAyalaWriter or the Romance In A Month Group page https://www.facebook.com/groups/romanceinamonth/ to sign up. The class is no pressure, fun only, and motivational. We will, as a group, inspire and support each other. There are no wordcount goals, nada. You may write a flash romance to an epic romance, or finish with an outline or synopsis. The important thing is to go through the experience together and know that you CAN do it!
